Before joining the Randy Lane Company in 2006, Angela Perelli programmed the industry-leading Modern AC KYSR (Star 98.7)/Los Angeles and accumulated several awards from Billboard Monitor, Radio & Records and Gavin, including several for Major Market APD/Music Director of the Year, as well as Major Market Program Director of the Year and Station of the Year in 2000.
Angela started her radio career just out of college as morning show “producer”/paid intern, for lack of a better idea, and learned that laughing every morning for four hours wasn’t a bad gig. After a few years as morning show producer, and several as music director, she became Program Director at two legendary radio stations, K101 in San Francisco and KYSR (Star 98.7)/Los Angeles. At both stations, Angela managed, or tried to manage, high-profile talent like Don Bleu, Danny Bonaduce, Jamie White [Jamie, Frosty and Frank] and Ryan Seacrest.
Angela excels as a talent coach and programming consultant. Not only is she a knowledgeable, passionate programmer and producer herself; she brings a background of loving to teach (both her parents were teachers); loving the creative process (she has participated in numerous workshops on improvisational writing and unblocking the creative process, based on Julia Cameron’s bestseller, The Artist’s Way.); and loving pop culture (Don’t get in the way of her and her new issue of Entertainment Weekly).
Angela currently lives in Toronto with her husband and their two children. When she’s not working she’s playing with her kids, spending time outside and trying to squeeze in a yoga class.
"After 20 years in radio, Angela has refined me. Several things -small changes - have made me feel more powerful and focused. i have stretch marks on my radio soul - but they're beautiful. As Eric and I say each time we leave a meeting with her, "She's smart."
—Lisa WIlliams, morning host for K-Love
“Angela and the Randy Lane Company have been terrific to work with. They don’t just tell you where they think there’s room for growth – they help develop the plan to get there, then follow through!”
—Janet Trecarten, PD of Country QX104/Winnipeg
“Angela has amazing instincts for what the audience wants......even before they want it. And she has a long history of success with high-powered personalities. She can duck a flying water bottle in a morning show meeting with the best of them.”
—Ken Christensen, former GM of KYSR/Los Angeles
“Thanks to Angela, my morning show isn’t lodged in the grill of my car." —Anonymous
“Angela worked with us to get our AC music back on track. She was efficient, available and helpful. If “Dancing with the Stars” included “music shuffle” Angela would win!”
—Tammy Cole, Brand Director of 104.9 EZ Rock

—Dave Beasing, PD of AAA KSWD (The Sound)/Los Angeles
"We just came off a hot week of radio! As I told Bruce and Denis; that was a very productive meeting. I thank you for making my job easier, because you nailed it. I can offer that you have the full confidence of the Gonzo Show, and our PD Bruce Gilbert."
—Gonzo, The Gonzo Show, 106.9 The Bear/Ottawa
"Our show didn't really begin until we started working with Angela! For years, we thought that we were putting on a really good show, but it can't even come close to the heights that she has taken us. Everything from formatics, content, and just sparking creativity, Angela brings out the best possible show that YOU and your team can do. That's what I love the most: she perfects YOUR show, where other consultants will just try to shove THEIR beliefs down your throat. You can have every prep service in the world, spend hours airchecking with your PD, but until you spend an hour with Angela, you have NO idea how much better YOUR show can be!"
—Steve Kramer, "That Guy" Kramer, Play 98.7/Tampa
“If there was any way to clone Angela Perelli, we would all be better off. Angela is one of the best coaches I've ever met - she's encouraging, creative, well-read, thoughtful, honest and, speaking from experience, can take young shows from their insecure infant stages to a place of confidence and creativity in a matter of weeks. She always seems to know the right questions to ask - questions that you think about hours later when you're doing your laundry and have a lightbulb moment on how to bring the show to the next level, the next day. And you never get anything but 100% invested-in-whats-going-on Angela. I don't know how she does it. We talk to her every second week (with a million emails in-between) and it's really been a huge difference maker in where we've come as a show. We owe a lot of where we are now to her investment in us. She's just awesome, plain and simple.”
—Adam Wylde, The Virgin Morning Show, 98.5 Virgin/Calgary, Canadian Top 20, and Edison's Top 30 Under 30 Winner
"I now feel more prepared than ever. I feel confident, focused, relaxed and energized. No matter what the question was, you [Angela] always had answers. And never short on ideas or understanding. I love your approach -- it's refreshing. You're a credit to your profession."
—Trevor Doyle, Morning Show Host, Capital-FM/Fredericton
